| The Ontrack 180 In-Line Selective Orienter rotates and positions uniquely shaped containers, including bottles with handles and off-set necks, from 0 to180 degrees. It easily handles a wide range of container sizes from small hand sanitizer dispensers to large, multi-liter containers.
Quick Change design allows easy changeovers while providing maximum flexibility for multiple SKUs.
What is Selective Orientation?
The Ontrack In-Line Selective 180 Orienter utilizes Photo-eyes to determine orientation by reading feature identifiers within the container. Ontrack software determines if a container is correctly oriented or if it requires further orientation to meet the objectives for filling, capping or labelling. Once orientation is determined, the system will either orient the container to the correct position or allow it to flow through the system by not triggering the orientation mechanism.
Increased Container Stability Improves Overall Reliability of Your Line.
Feedscrews control the pitch of the container as it enters the Orientation zone for correct container presentation. When released from the orientation zone, the taper of the feedscrews direct the container to the centre-line position--accurately, consistently and reliably.
Servo Linear Axis Movement and Scroll-Ex Feedscrew Technology work together to achieve maximum container stability. By synchronizing container movement with conveyor line speed, both the top and bottom halves of the container move at the same speed, resulting in continuous container motion, greater stability, and faster container throughput speeds.
In contrast, typical orientation systems cause the top half of the container to slow down during the orientation process while the bottom half continues at the same speed. This causes containers to become unstable and wobble on the line leading to costly production throughput problems.
The Ontrack 180 not only eliminates the wobble effect and improves overall line reliability with its container control technology, but also achieves significantly higher throughput speeds.
Quick Change / No Tool Changeover
As with all Ontrack products our Quick Change Design is built directly into the Orienter. Changeover can be achieved in minutes by any member of your operations and or maintenance team.
The Ontrack Quick Change Design requires no tools or special training to change from one package to another. Parts easily snap on and off and can be tuned in quickly by turning the dial indicators to the previously determined optimum setting.
Our HMI mapping system provides for a quick reference of all settings per package and provides detailed step by step procedures which are easy to follow.
HMI Orienter Control
The integrated Human Machine Interface (HMI) is your central control to ensure repeatable and optimized use of the Ontrack Orienter system.
The HMI is easily programmed and stores multiple job settings for different container shapes and sizes.
During changeover, the operator simply selects a specific container type and the HMI automatically synchronizes orientation speed with other system features.
A graphic “Quick Change Map” provides the operator with a visual display of all required manual changes and settings to achieve optimal system operation.
